Media I/O Sign in with TikTok Start recording

Privacy policy

Last updated 22 October 2026.

The short version: your video, the clip made from it, and — only if you connect TikTok or Instagram — your account name, avatar and tokens. Instagram comments and messages are shown to you live and never stored. Nothing else, nothing sold, all of it gone in thirty days.

Who is responsible

Media I/O is operated by Ruben Ganzerli, Italy. Contact: ruben.ganzerli@gmail.com.

What is stored

If you use it without an account

No name, no email address and no phone number is collected — only a random identifier held in a cookie, so that the clips you made come back to you and to nobody else. That identifier is not linked to any profile and is not shared.

If you connect TikTok

Media I/O stores your TikTok display name, avatar URL, account identifier, and the access and refresh tokens that let it post the clip you approve. It reads nothing else from your account: not your videos, not your followers, not your messages, not your analytics. The permissions requested and the reason for each are listed on the integration page.

If you connect Instagram

Media I/O stores your Instagram username, profile picture URL, account identifier and access token. It reads the comments on your own posts and the messages sent to your account, only to show them to you on your dashboard and to send the replies you write; they are read live and never stored. It reads no other account. The permissions requested and the reason for each are listed on the Instagram integration page.

Cookies

One cookie holds your signed session so the service knows which clips are yours, and a short-lived one protects the sign-in exchange from being forged. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics on this site.

Sharing

Your video is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train models. It leaves this service only when you press post, and only for the account you post to: TikTok or Instagram. Data read from a connected account is never sold or shared. The infrastructure it runs on (Cloudflare, for hosting and storage) processes it only to provide that hosting.

How long it is kept

Uploaded videos, finished clips and their transcripts are deleted thirty days after they are created. Accounts that go unused for thirty days are removed along with their stored tokens.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted before the thirty days are up. Write to ruben.ganzerli@gmail.com and it will be done. You can also revoke Media I/O's access from TikTok's own app-permissions screen at any time, which stops the tokens working immediately.

Security

Sessions are signed, tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser, and the service is served only over HTTPS. No system is perfect; if you find a weakness, please report it to the address above.

Children

This service is not intended for children under 13, and no account should be created by one.

Changes
