Pricing
It is free. There is no card field anywhere on this site. What there is instead is a set of limits, and they are printed here rather than discovered when you hit one.

The service-wide cap
Beyond the per-person limits there is a ceiling of forty clips a day across everyone using Media I/O. Rendering video costs real machine time on one machine, and a ceiling is how a free service stays up for the next person instead of going dark at noon. If you reach it, the dashboard says so and you can come back the next day.
Why free
Media I/O is built in public by one person, and it is currently more useful as something people actually use than as something that earns. Charging would mean promising an uptime that a single rendering machine cannot honestly promise yet. If that changes, it will change on this page first, and nothing you have already made will be held hostage behind a new paywall.
Retention
Uploaded takes and finished clips are deleted thirty days after they are created, automatically. Download anything you want to keep. If you want something deleted sooner, ask — see support.
What is not charged for, and never will be
- Your video is not sold, licensed, or used to train anything.
- There is no advertising on this site and no tracker beyond the cookie that brings your own clips back to you.
- Your clip is not watermarked. It is your video, rendered.
