About
Media I/O is built and run by Ruben Ganzerli, an independent developer in Italy. It is one person's tool, opened up because the problem it solves is not personal.
Why it exists
The distance between having something to say and having a publishable clip is mostly mechanical: trim the silence, fix the false starts, add captions because most people watch muted, crop it vertical, export. None of that is creative work, and all of it is enough friction to stop a recording from ever being posted.
Media I/O removes that stretch and nothing else. It does not write for you, does not generate a voice, does not invent a face. You talk; it hands back what you said, edited.
Who it is for
Anyone who wants to publish themselves talking and does not want to open an editing timeline to do it — people building in public, teachers, founders posting updates, anyone whose message is a person speaking to a camera.
What it deliberately does not do
- It does not post on your behalf. Every publish is a press you make on a screen showing exactly what will go out.
- It does not keep your footage. Thirty days, then deletion.
- It does not sell, license or train on what you upload.
- It does not ask for an email address to try.
How it is built
The site and the job queue run on Cloudflare Workers; the editing itself runs on a single machine that picks up jobs, transcribes, cuts and renders them. That architecture is why the limits on the pricing page exist, and being open about it is better than pretending the capacity is infinite.
